Seminar with Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa IX.Dan in Znojmo.
On Friday the 21st of October, Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa IX.Dan was welcomed at the Vienna airport by Frantisek Macek IV.Dan president of Czech Taekwon –Do Association and Jan Prochazka I.Dan, secretary of CTA. After arrival to Znojmo, an Audience by Mayor of Znojmo took place in city hall. After the audience, Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa IX.Dan has met with Taekwon-Do students of Znojmo school in sport hall and also supervised the exams for black belts.
On 22nd of September 2012, Seminar conducted by Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa IX.Dan was held in Znojmo, Czech Republic. The seminar was organized by Czech Taekwon-Do Association and the date of the seminar was chosen obviously, because Czech Taekwon-Do school in Znojmo led by Frantisek Macek IV.Dan celebrated and marked already its 20th Anniversary.
This event was keenly awaited and we were happy to welcome in Znojmo old and good friends from England, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia, Netherland and Latvia and Czech Republic.
After a proper warm up, the first part of the seminar was dedicated to correct use of the body and speed to create power within each individual technique. Focus was given to hip motion as accelerator for speed and power. The importance of knowledge of purpose of individual techniques was also stressed.
After lunch break, Master Trevor Nicholls VIII.Dan, I.T.F. Secretary General joined the seminar and together with other masters, we continued with pattern exercising. Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa IX.Dan explained the difference between sport and martial arts and also underlined the importance of developing the “Do” for both masters and students and its use in everyday reality.
To see so many Masters training together in Znojmo was great experience that will be never forgotten.
We are really grateful to Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa IX.Dan and Master Trevor Nicholls VIII.Dan for their help and support to Czech Taekwon-Do. Thanks belong also to all of you who attended our Seminar in Znojmo and contributed to success of our seminar.
But this was not the end of the wonderful event.
On Sunday, the 23rd of September 2012, the wedding ceremony of Kveta Sobotkova III.Dan and Frantisek Macek IV.Dan took place in Znojmo.
The young Czech Taekwon-Do couple was honored to have Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa IX.Dan, President of I.T.F as the First man of the bride. The wedding ceremony took place in old St. Nicholas Church in Znojmo. At the end of the ceremony, the happy married couple was greeted in front of the church by students of Znojmo school dressed in Dobok. Later on, families and guests continued to celebrate on wedding party in Hotel Happy Star. A short walk in Nature Park near by the Hotel was another occasion for Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa and Master Trevor Nicholls to see the wonderful countryside of Znojmo region.
We will always bear in our minds all the wonderful time spent together.
