UK ITF Umpire Committee
5th January 2014

New Year message from Mark and Wendy Richards, Joint Chairs of the UK ITF Umpire Committee

2013 has been a year of huge changes for the whole of UKITF and the Umpire Ccommittee is no exception.  We have started to train all umpires and use the workshops as a place for us all to practice rather than competitions and although there is no substitute for competition experience, the feedback we have had has been very positive from a confidence point of view.  We have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world with Master Nicholls during 2013 and whilst we have been able to help at some tournaments we have gained a lot of knowledge from others.  We hope to use this knowledge to make all UKITF umpires totally professional. Thank you and all our best wishes for 2014.

Mark and Wendy Richards
